Slumber ShadeTM Features
Standard roller shades allow exterior light along the bottoms and sides of the window and shade. This environment can impair your body's ability to fall asleep.
Slumber Roller Shades block out all light leaks around the window shade. Slumber Roller Shades combine blackout roller shades with light blocking side tracks to create a dark sleeping environment.
Energy Saving Blackout Sidetracks
Made from durable window grade PVC, the energy saving blackout sidetracks seal out the gap between the blackout roller shade and the window to create the ultimate light blocking barrier. The roller shade runs within the track channel on each side of the window. You may choose to leave the tracks white or have them wrapped with shade fabric.
Light Absorbing Technology
The sidetracks feature a black insert to absorb incoming light. The sidetrack is white or may be fabric wrapped with shade fabric for visual aesthetics.
Easy to Install and Remove
Slumber Roller Shades are easy to install and feature removable sidetracks that are attached to the window frame with magnetic strips. Raise the shade and remove the sidetracks for window cleaning. The durable, UV stable sidetracks are available fabric wrapped or white.
Top and Bottom Seal
To ensure the best possible dark sleeping environment, fuzzy seals are applied along the shade's head rail and bottom rail. This barrier helps block out exterior light for windows that are out of square.
Hardware Options & Operating Systems
Roller Slumber Roller Shades are available with our clutch control continuous cord loop operating system in a white or oil rubbed bronze fully enclosed head rail with matching fabric insert strip. Choose from white, bronze, black or steel bead chain to match your shade.
Mounting Depth Required
Minimum Depth: 1 1/8", Flush Mount 3 3/8" The shade's light blocking ability is compromised by using any other mount than a Flush Mount.

Measuring: Precise width measurements are critical for proper performance of Slumber Shades. Measure to the nearest 1/16 and provide the narrowest width measurement along the top middle and bottom of the opening. The widest width of the window cannot exceed the narrowest width of the window by more than 1/4".
North Solar Screen takes cords and child safety seriously. Our shades are available cordless (recommended where young children are present.) All chain shades have cord safety tensioners to reduce the hazards of cord strangulation or entanglement.
