Create total privacy both day and night. By completely blocking out the sun, Soltis High Performance Blackout Outdoor Shades prevent any detectable transmission of visible light, infrared or ultraviolet rays resulting in a substantial reduction in air conditioning costs. These shades are highly resistant to various weather conditions and can support temperatures ranging from -86ºF to 158ºF. Soltis will not stretch or lose its shape under heavy loads. Exterior facing colors are in beige, brown and white, interior is gray. The quality of polymers used in the manufacture of these materials ensures high color-fastness. Dirt does not stick to them due to their smooth and even surface structure. Soltis material comes 67" wide. Any shade both wider and higher than 67" wide x 65" high will need to be seamed with sonic welding. Outdoor blackout shades do not disturb inside window décor.

Constructed from high tenacity polyester yarn, Soltis Outdoor Shades are built to last. All shades are triple locked to rust proof rollers with spring loaded clips and then sealed with a weatherproof bonding to protect against the elements.
Brackets are marine grade with a rust proof powder coating. They come in your choice of black or white. For corrosive salt water exposure we recommend upgrading to our Dacromet brackets.
Rollease Exteriorrated clutches in matching black or white, have stainless steel internal springs to avoid rust. Super Clutches are automatically added to large shades to reduce the effort required to lift heavy shades.
Chains are UV resistant and won't break down. Chain lengths are 3/4's of the way down the shade.
Outdoor shades are constructed with a heavy duty aluminum weight bar at the bottom to prevent fraying. This bar comes in white, black, bronze or anodized and is secured to the welded bottom weight pocket. Extruded Aluminum Weight Bars at the bottom of the shade are available in anodized, bronze, black, white and attica beige.
Self tapping stainless steel D Rings are included with each shade to tie it down. We can supply a optional custom 8" bungee cord. The D rings go into the metal weight bar at the bottom of the shade. Secure bungee cords to the D Rings as shown in the photo to minimize how much the shades move in windy conditions. We can custom manufacturer bungee cords to the length you need.
An optional cable systemon each side of the shade helps stabilize the shade movement in windy conditions and can also serve as a tie down for motorized shades.
Optional Side Rails are offered in 6 colors.Side Railsare 2" wide and 3/4" deep. Side rails lock down the bottom bar of the shade only. There is a 1/4" gap between the side of the fabric and the beginning of the side rails so the fabric will not blow out. Side rails require a level, even mounting surface (not more than 1/4" shim is acceptable) and the purchase of the aluminum housing.
Optional 4" aluminum housing in 6 matching colors hide the roller and are recommended for motorized shades. Housing mounts either to the face of a beam or the underside of a beam.
L shaped fascias are available to hide the front of the roller. They can be side mounted. Some light can come through these as they are not a sealed box.
A reverse roll to hide the roller is offered at no charge.
Soltis is an environmentally friendly Green Product. It has the Öko-Tex Standard 100 certificate (the European equivalent for the U.S. Greenguard VOC requirements) and is formaldehyde free. This means that Soltis does not contain any harmful elements. It also reduces the amount of carbon dioxide emissions.
Motorization Options:
Shades can be motorized using Somfy Atlus 110v Motors with Radio Remotes Control. Pre-programmed remotes are either single or multi channel. Motorized shades are ready to plug into a grounded outlet or they can be hardwired to a junction box. To hardwire to a junction box, install a shut off switch for each motor or disconnect each motor from the power source to program. Pricing for motorization is below. Remotes are pre-programmed at the factory.
All remotes are pre-programmed at the factory. Each channel is set to a corresponding shade, you merely need to set the limit stops of the shade.
Our brackets are universal so shades can be mounted inside the frame, outside the frame or from the top down. Shades are shipped with all the necessary hardware. Chain lengths are 3/4's of the way down the shade. All chains come with child proof tensioners. Please specify if you need longer chains.
