The deluxe all-weather outdoor shade fabric is actually "framed out" with sturdy, non-rusting powder coated extruded aluminum parts. But this system is different from the standard outdoor shade with side rails and housing. With the The Fortress Zipper Track System^TM the fabric is actually constructed with heavy duty zippers on the sides. These zippers lock into slotted powder coated aluminum side rails so the wind cannot blow the shade out of them. The shade glides up and down smoothly and be stopped at any position. At the top, the matching powder coated aluminum housing is also different than the standard fare. It has a self-cleaning feature: interior brushes on both ends clean the fabric as it feeds into it. Both the housing and side channels come in 4 colors. The bottom weight bar is fitted with a brush that ensures a flush fit to the ground.

This system must be motorized using Somfy 120V Radio Control Motors that can be hardwired to a junction box or plugged into a grounded outlet. The motors require 2-3 amps. The factory programs the single channel (for one shade) or multiple channel remotes. Multi channel remotes operate each shade individually or all simultaneously.
