Privacy Notice

Solar Shades LLC will not share your information with any third party outside of our company. We collect the necessary information only to complete your order. Solar Shades LLC will never sell or rent this information to anyone.

Production Times

Unfortunately, covid has lengthened factory production times. We will give you the approximate lead time when you order, and email you the tracking number as soon as it ships. We cannot guarantee delivery dates once shades leave our premises.

Ordering Process

We suggest ordering free samples from our website to see the fabrics in person because colors can vary with different monitors. We also require pictures of where you are planning to install to better guide you in your application. When you call to order we will email you a quotation that will provide detailed information about each shade. Please take the time to review the information provided so that you have a complete understanding of your purchase.

The next step is for you to approve the quotation by signing where indicated and returning it to us. Our electronic signing process makes this easy. We cannot begin processing your order until we receive confirmation with your signature. Full payment is also due at time at this time. We will accept a 50% deposit for outdoor shades but balance must be paid before shade can ship.

Shipping Policy

We ship through Old Dominion, UPS, FedEx and DATS. When we send you the tracking number, we will include a detailed list of what to look for and what to do in case of a problem. If you see damage or suspect damage, you must sign for it that way so that we can collect on the insurance we have placed on your items. Replacement parts under warranty are standardly shipped UPS Ground or FedX Ground. If you want expedited shipping you may pay the difference between ground and air.

For our outdoor shades, if a shipping damage exception number is obtained from the carrier, all damaged/missing parts are replaced free of charge if reported within 30 business days of delivery. Photographs showing damaged packaging and parts are required.

If shipping damage exception number is not obtained from carrier, all damaged/missing parts are replaced free of charge if reported within 5 business days of delivery. Photographs showing damaged packaging and parts are required. If you do not report it within 5 days, the damage claim will be denied, and you will need to pay for the parts and shipping.

Order Changes and Cancellations

Production on new orders routinely begins within 24 hours of receipt of your confirmation and payment. In the event you need to change or cancel your order we will make every effort to accommodate your request. However, an order may not be cancelled or changed if it is already in production. Return Policy

All shades are custom manufactured and therefore are not returnable. If you have mis-measured or mis-ordered and need to have the shades remade we can do so at a discount.

Installer Fees

North Solar Screen does not cover installer fees or labor charges associated with replacing defective or damage parts. Please inspect the contents and make sure everything is there and intact before scheduling your installer so you minimize return visits.
