With its elegant 3/8″ pleat double honeycomb design, Light Filtering Cellular Thermal Shades help to insulate your home against drafts and air leaks. Double Cell Construction traps air in its cells acting as a barrier against cold air flow from drafty windows in the winter. In the summer cool air is retained inside, reducing unwanted heat gain for lower utility bills year round.
The non-woven polyester fabric blocks 99% of UV Rays as it reduces the glare and diffuses the light.
North Solar Screen takes cords and child safety seriously. Our shades are available cordless or motorized (recommended where young children are present). All cord shades have safety tensioners to reduce the hazards of cord strangulation or entanglement.

- Raised and lowered by pulling the thin cord. As you pull the cord, the shade goes up, and the cord becomes longer. Recommended for smaller shades. Breakaway cord for child safety.

Motorization Options
- Motor and rechargeable lithium ion battery in motor casing are concealed in roller
- No special wiring requirements
- Rechargeable battery comes fully charged from factory, no external battery wand is required
- Factory programs upper and lower limit stops but does not program channels because that needs to be completed after shade installation.
- Average battery charge lasts 6-12 months under normal use one cycle per day
- Battery can be recharged up to 500 times
- Takes approximately 5 hours to recharge a depleted motor
- Recharge when shade starts running slow to avoid losing programming
- Shade will beep when the remote button is pressed
- Do not leave charger plugged in for more than 24 hours as it can prematurely age the battery

EZ Charge Extension Wand easily recharges your hard to reach Simplicity Rechargeable Shades. Extends up to 31” in length. Simply touch the magnetized wand tip to the port to attach. Then plug the charger into the base of the wand.

Battery Charger – SOLD SEPARATELY. You must specify charger when ordering a Simplicity Rechargeable Motorized Shade. The charger plugs into the wand base. The 8.4 Volt charger requires a standard power outlet to recharge the motor. The charger is black and comes with a 156” wire. Dimensions are 1” wide x 2½” length x 13⁄4” deep.

Cellular shades also act as a barrier against cold air flow in winter, locking warm air inside and trap warm air in the summer making it cooler. The cellular insulated blackout shades provide the maximum insulation values.
- (Photo 1) Decide whether you want the shade mounted inside the frame of the opening or outside the opening. An inside mount can look cleaner, but you may want to order outside mount if there are obstructions, if you want more complete coverage, or if you want to cover more than one opening with a shade.
- (Photo 2) Always use a steel measuring tape.
- (Photo 3) Measure to the nearest 1/8”. Round DOWN, not UP, if it is 1/16th over.
- Tell us raw measurements. Do not take your own deductions.
- Always give width before height
- IT IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT to take note if any of the adjoining shades meet at a 90% angle, as one or both shades may need to be cut narrower to make sure the brackets don’t conflict with one another. We recommend that you order only one of the corner shades, and order the second one after you have installed the first one to make sure the brackets don’t impede each other.

- Measure width at top, middle, and bottom (A) Tell us the raw measurements. Let us take the deduction for fit. We will tell you fabric width.

To Fit Brackets on Trim/Posts
- Measure width of the outside of the post to the outside of the post at the top, middle, and bottom (A)
- Measure width of the inside of the opening (B) to check for fabric overlap. We will tell you fabric width.
- Measure the height (C) If not ordering the shade to drop all the way down, let us know.
- Decide where you want the fabric to overlap on each side. Mark on the post/trim and measure this width (A). We will tell you how much room the shade needs to fit.
- Measure the height (B) If not ordering the shade to drop all the way down, let us know.
- Measure the width of the full span of space you have to fit the shades in at the top, middle, and bottom.
- Measure the end to center post and center to center post widths at the top, middle, and bottom. Tell us the raw measurements. Let us take the deduction for fit.
- Measure the width of the inside of the opening to check for fabric overlap. We will tell you fabric width.
- Measure the height – let us know if you’re not ordering the shade to drop all the way down.
